A note on an ignorant dog owner
So I'm walking Bam, because he was in my face & being annoying at home... and he's pretty good with his Gentle Leader on. He doesn't pull too much, he never barks at dogs barking at him from windows and whatnot, at the most... he just tries really hard to keep looking at other dogs that are nearby, which I always correct. I round a corner, give him some water, and suddenly some guy with a small brown Poodle is there, and Bam starts freaking the fuck out. Barking, fighting his leash, and the whole time I'm correcting him, trying to fix his Gentle Leader, and pulling him the opposite way as I walk away. Now, the idiot other owner is yelling "THAT AIN'T RIGHT!" at me over... and over... and over... Sir, you clearly know nothing about dogs. I, on the other hand, do. Working in the Veterinary field, and just plain being a responsible dog owner & making myself aware of breeds and tendencies, as well as training tips, has given me at least a firm grasp on dogs in general. I know from experience that people look at a big dog, and assume "PITBULL! PITBULLS ARE MEAN!" (this holds true with dogs that look absolutely nothing like a Pit, as well.) I can look at your dog and tell it's a Poodle. I know enough about small breeds, and Poodles, to know that it's probably spoiled, and spoiled can lead to aggressive. He looked at my dog and only saw an aggressive Pitbull. Sorry, dude, I have an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Staffordshire Terriers were NEVER bred as fighting dogs, unlike the American Pitbull Terrier. American Staffordshire Terriers only share close appearance with American Pitbull Terriers. My dog only responds in aggression to aggressive dogs (the only other time he ever even grumbled at another dog is when an American Bulldog across the street started barking at him). Dogs don't need to show outward aggression to be aggressive and have another dog respond aggressively. Your little spoiled-ass small breed dog caused the problem, and you made it worse by freaking out and feeding their energy.
A Cocker Spaniel is more likely to attack you than any Pitbull. That's a fucking fact.
DOG OWNERS, PLEASE FUCKING LEARN ABOUT DOGS BEFORE YOU GO AND BUY SOME PUPPY MILL DOG. I KNOW THEY'RE CUTE, BUT YOU'RE IGNORANT, AND CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS THAN YOU KNOW. Please, tell me why nearly all people who actually WORK with animals LOVE bully breeds? Probably because they're great.
Ignorance is one of my absolute BIGGEST pet peeves.

Now, time for a real update:
UPDATE #1: GOT A JOB, BITCHES. I'm a part-time Vet Tech, and part-time Receptionist at City Pets Veterinary Care and Wellness, in Federal Hill. It was the only place I liked when I came to look for jobs in March, and the only place that responded to me since I moved to Baltimore. Thankfully, I really like all of my co-workers, and I'm learning a lot (hopefully fast enough). I obviously have the reception stuff pretty down already, since that's what I did in KC. They even all signed a birthday card for me, gave me a $25 Visa gift card, and CUPCAKES!! for my belated gift today. That's pretty great. Mostly, I'm happy to have a job, and be contributing again.

UPDATE #2: I'M 26 NOW, BITCHES. Had a birthday, it was pretty decent. Nick works afternoons to nights, now... so I thought it was going to blow, but it didn't. Met a girl here named Betsey, and her and her roommate Sean took me out for sushi that night. I wanted to puke halfway through the next day from the sheer amount of food we ate.
UPDATE #3: GOT A DOG NOW, BITCHES. The Sunday before my birthday, Nick and I went to BARCS (city shelter) and adopted Bam. He's an Am. Staff./Great Dane mix, he gallops when he runs, he's co-dependent, and he lets me brush his teeths :)

UPDATE #4: I made my carpenter father proud. I built two dressers all by myself a few weeks ago. I guess I made myself proud, too. Now if we could just buy a damn couch... Hopefully next weekend, or the week after. Crossing fingers.
UPDATE #5: Deciding to finally get healthier. I've been somewhat working on this for the past 6 months or so, but half-heartedly, I'll admit. Since I've moved to Baltimore, I've lost about 2lbs a week, without trying. This week, I've been researching more about a condition I have (PCOS-Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), that my shitty doctors in KC just gave me birth control pills to mask symptoms for the past 8 years. When I have insurance in a few months, I intend to get a full work-up, and do whatever it takes to get myself on the right path. I now know a lot more (admittedly, still not enough) about my symptoms, and what may be causing them. Wish me luck, because this journey is going to fucking suck at first.
My dog is great, my boyfriend is great, my life is steadily getting more great.
Ryan Smith v. 2.0
I haven't updated my blog in a long time, and I've been meaning to. Lots of new things going on recently. I feel the need to write something about all of the shit going on with Ryan Smith FINALLY FUCKING BEING CALLED OUT ON A LARGE SCALE.
Ryan is currently trying to campaign for himself, against what this blog has said. In his "copy and paste this where ever you see people saying bad things about me" blog, he harps on ONE person's story of ONE thing. Now, I will remind you that there are people throughout the ENTIRE country that have stories about girls Ryan has raped and/or forced himself upon... not just one guy that says he raped 2 girls.
In all honesty, I don't care if he raped 2 girls, or if it was made up. The shit I personally know for fact (which was posted in MY blog is enough for me to know what a manipulative piece of shit he is, and that he needs A. serious help, B. a serious ass-whooping, and finally C. to be locked up (whether it be jail time, or mental health time). I could name many, many girls Ryan has victimized, or forced himself upon... and not only that, I could also make a few quick phone calls and get even more names. If your only defense is that no one can name anyone you've hurt, you're shit out of luck. It's rude, and not my place, to publicly out someone, without their consent, so I refuse to further torment any of the girls Ryan has come into contact with in his life... but trust me, it's happened, and is still happening. I have been in many of these girls' shoes before in my lifetime. It is EMBARRASSING to admit that someone forced you to have sex with them, and it's SCARY when someone isn't taking no for an answer... it's EMBARRASSING to know that you couldn't stop something you didn't want, so you just gave in. Just because it isn't textbook, violent rape, does NOT make it right. I have personally had a conversation with Ryan about this years ago.
NOwhere in his blog did he mention anything I said as being untrue. Ryan has NEVER responded to anything I've had to say about him, because he simply can't say I'm lying. He would rather delete and disallow comments on a blog I comment on with the truth, than reply or let anyone else see what I had to say. He would rather pacify me in conversation, and not do anything (much as he did in Philly). He would rather ignore what I have to say, because he knows it's the truth. I am nothing, if not an honest person.
With that said: Ryan Smith, lie all you want... it doesn't make it any better for you. Every single person that actually knows who and what you are won't buy your shit for a second. I would also venture to say that the people they're close with wouldn't either. The number of people who figure you out grows daily, people you may even still think you have under your manipulation. There will come a time where you will run out of places to hide, and people to fool, and then what will you do? (Probably start in on a younger generation... gross.) Ryan, you have become the person that molested you as a child. I hope you're happy. Maybe you'll find your way back to Jesus for some broad, and have the zombie retouched as a Jesus again. Dumbass.
DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

week late chronicles of moving to baltimore
too much driving, too little sleep.
lunch with alena & her husband, snack with shani with orange body builders and soccer moms.
subway at some random hick town in pa with trashy tattooed employees that wanted to be our friends.
muffler started falling off.
couldn't return uhaul trailer, because it was a sunday.
couldn't find parking because of uhaul trailer.
couldn't fit bed up the spiral staircase, til we folded the mattress in half.
locked keys in the car, while running, while double-parked, with uhaul trailer.
dumped uhaul at the nearest retailer with an open parking lot we could find.
broke my pinky toe on the goddamn spiral staircase.
can't unpack 70% of our shit til we can go buy bedroom & livingroom furniture, and shelving for the bathroom.
can't buy furniture until someone hires me.
only place that has interviewed me, that i really liked, gave me a "working interview" and i don't even know what the hell that was. i basically followed around their employees all night & crossed my fingers that i didn't get a parking ticket. as far as i know, i'm just waiting on the manager to check references, and she hasn't done that yet, according to the references i've asked.
i'm tired all of the time. i'm not happy, yet. currently living for the weekends, because the weekend was the only good time thus far. i want a job, just to have something to do & some kind of purpose in my life.
baby steps.

annoyed
out of my mind.
waiting all day, can't do much more. trying to get rid of shit. can't pack shit with nothing to pack in. can't get rid of shit without someone taking it.
can't get much else right. can't talk to anyone.
can't wait for this to just be done.

I'm gonna be completely alone in Baltimore. Here's to hoping I make a friend that passes the test.

All I want to do...
is throw away most of my clothes before moving to Baltimore in June, and spend whatever it takes to build a wardrobe that actually makes me feel great, and shows my sense of style, instead of just finding what fits & will be adequate enough for my needs.
I went shopping Wednesday with Nick, for lack of anything better to do on my day off. I had been talking about it for about two weeks, but I felt guilty, since we're moving. I didn't want to blow money on something like clothing. I still feel guilty about it, but my new high-waisted skirt & ribbed tank make me look hot. And finally finding ankle length leggings in my size was also worth it.
